The Lands Tribunal has ruled that Hop On Management Company Limited under the Chinachem Group will handle the management of Wang Fuk Court.
This comes after the government applied to dissolve the management committee of the owners' corporation of the housing estate in December.
The ruling came on Tuesday afternoon. The Lands Tribunal said that Hop On Management Company will be taking over "indefinitely," but the firm is required to file reports to the government every month.
Speaking to the media, the government said Hop On is a professional administrator which can help Wang Fuk owners with complicated issues in the aftermath of the fire.
Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs Alice Mak said: "Nina Wang's Charity Trustee has also agreed to make a donation of 10 million (dollars) to support the operation expenses or costs that the administrator may incur when they appoint any other professionals to look into the various accounts or contracts of Wang Fuk Court."
