Some of those affected by the New Year fire in the Swiss ski resort of Crans-Montana have been looking for family members and friends who are still missing.
Sixteen-year-old Arthur Brodard went to the Le Constellation bar with friends to celebrate the New Year.
Just two days after a devastating fire ripped through the bar killing around 40 people and injuring 119, of whom 113 have been formally identified Arthur's mother Laetitia still holds out hope
he might be one of six injured people who remain unidentified. "I'm looking everywhere. The body of my son is somewhere. The bodies of his friends somewhere, we have to find them now.
I want to know where my child is and be by his side. Wherever that may be, be it in the intensive care unit or the morgue," Laetitia said.
The severity of the burns has made it difficult to identify both the injured and deceased, requiring families to supply authorities with DNA samples. At a briefing Lausanne University Hospital CEO said it has 22 young patients, all identified and in critical condition.
Meanwhile, more stories have emerged of how people passing by tried to help those trapped in the bar. Jamey Keaten of The Association Press said. "We've heard accounts of young people as young as age 14 who walked by and tried to help these people get out by smashing the plexiglass windows that were keeping some people trapped inside, as orange and red flames were flaring inside and smoke was making it very difficult to breathe."
