The government held its third hearing by the independent committee on the Wang Fuk Court fire in the Central Gallery in Central on Tuesday.

Government representatives said the Fire Services Department did not received forms from Wang Fuk Court indicating the alarm system had been deactivated.

The government also refuted accusations that the Housing Bureau's independent review team had "tipped them on," claiming this was a deviation from the facts.

The third day of the hearing began with an opening statement from Senior Counsel Jenkin Suen representing the government.

He emphasized that all government departments actively assisted the investigation, and the government acknowledged its responsibility in facing systemic shortcomings.

However, following the committee's presentations last week, some reports made allegations, leading to the doxxing of government personnel and their families, necessitating a prompt explanation of the factual discrepancies.
